Product DetailsThe passage are electronically controllable in both directions. The standard operating modes are: Enter/Card in, Exit/Card out, Free Exit, Card in, Closed Reset. The Optical Turnstiles have uniquely designed card reader window that are fitted into the OptiStiles top, one for each direction to visually assist the user when using the unit. The users include: Government, Retail, Finance, Telecommunications, Information Technology, Banking, Publishing, Leisure, Petrochemical, and Educational. The barrier-type Optical Turnstiles have three different modes that can be set up when the units are installed, and/or can be changed later through use of a keyed switch on the desktop controller. 1. Purely Optical (Always Open) mode - The barrier arms are not used, and alarms will signal unauthorized access attempts or tailgating. 2. Full Time Barrier (Normally Closed) mode - The barriers remain closed until a valid card is presented. Tailgaters and unauthorized card is presented, the lanes will sound an alarm and the barrier arms will remain closed to prevent the user from proceeding further without intervention by a guard. 3. Pop-Out (Normally Open ) mode - The barrier arms remain retracted unless there is an invalid transaction attempted. The arms never pop out for free exit transactions. Tailgaters are still singled out with an alarm condition, but will not cause the arms to close.
